04.27.11 - Hi there.  This is Dennis.  It's been a while so I'll get right to it.  I've been taking a break from Vitamin-D to concentrate on Trumpet Moments.  Number 25 was broadcast a few weeks ago and another one is coming soon.  We have almost 2500 fans on our Facebook page.  Make sure to go check it out and become a fan.  I've also been busy with the Quavers as we play a live soundtrack for a documentary called Utopia In Four Movements.  We are performing in Warsaw, Poland in about a week!  That's all for now..

Sundance Film Festival

02.02.10 - I just got back from the 2010 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. It was extremely fun and exhausting! I played with the Quavers for a live soundtrack to a live documentary call Utopia In Four Movements by Sam Green and Dave Cerf.

Bridge Artwork

11.24.09 - Kenan Juska and Chris Moore collaborated on the artwork for Bridge. Chris drew a vaulted bridge concept with colored pencil and then Kenan made a collage of that. The results are a melding of earth and concept. We will post the work very soon!

Mastering is Finished

10.12.09 - Last week at Yes Master Studios Jim DeMain mastered the upcoming album Bridge. The artwork is finishing up soon. We hope to get this released by late November or December. Whew!

Mastering for new album in early October

08.31.09 - The mixes for the new album, Bridge, are just about finished. We will be mastering it with our friend Jim DeMain at Yes Master Studios in Nashville, TN.

Solo Show & Playing With Catherine McRae

08.05.09 - I'm playing a rare solo set (well, I'll have Adam Gold to help) at Barbes in Park Slope, Brooklyn. I'll also be accompanying Catherine McRae while she plays singy songs on piano and looping violin.

Composer Cronin Recording

01.11.09 - I just got back from Boston where I recorded a few Music Portraits composed by my brother, David Cronin. The three pieces included a trombone-flute duet, solo organ and solo violin. Check out Dave's site here. It's good.

Yo La Tengo Soundtrack

12.17.08 - A while back I played for the Junebug soundtrack that Yo La Tengo was doing. It has finally made it to a CD along with the soundtracks from 3 other movies that they score the music for.

Vitamin-Strings

12.15.08 - Vitamin-D just had its first recording of a string quartet for the song The Summer Crossing. The Vitamin-Strings include Jason Masimore, Leanne Darling, Noah Hoffeld and Catherine McRae. Adam Gold smoothly manned the recording equipment. Paula Kelley wonderfully created the string arrangement. Thanks to all!

Drew Glackin (1963-2008)

01.15.08 - News about a dear friend...
We are very saddened with the passing of our close and dear friend, Drew Glackin. He was a multi-instrumentalist of rare talent with a powerfully generous personal presence. Drew played a big part in supporting Vitamin-D when we started here in Brooklyn. Dennis met Drew many years ago when both played with the group Willard Grant Conspiracy. He was a vital part of our music family. We are still in shock and miss him terribly. For more about Drew visit drewglackin.com.
